How Does Oslo Fjord Sauna Work?

Oslo Fjord Sauna is a community sauna that works on trust. Sauna users are emailed self-service instructions after completing the booking process, and are then trusted to leave the sauna clean and tidy for the next person. Please remember to bring enough water, a towel to sit on in the sauna and one to dry yourself, and a kind and peaceful attitude. Your payment goes to the maintenance of the sauna and any proceeds are donated to the work of Fjord CleanUP who cleans and restores the fjord.   • Sauna is located in central Oslo – see Google Maps here
  • Bring water, swimwear and two towels. There is no access to fresh water at the sauna, so bring enough water to stay hydrated.
  • The sauna is wood-fired. As a self-service sauna you add more wood as you please (we provide the wood for the sauna).
  • Please leave the sauna tidy and take away any rubbish and recycling.
  • Please be respectful of neighbours and other sauna users at all times.
  • If you need to report any problems please email info@fjordcleanup.no or in an emergency call +47 98677019.
  • You are responsible for your own safety, so be careful when walking around the sauna and when swimming.
